Sanjuan Leads Indiana Women’s Golf on Last Day of Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Senior Ana Sanjuan continued to pace IU Women's Golf as she shot 1-under par in the final day of the shortened Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown on Tuesday afternoon.
Despite a fog delay that set the field back a few hours at Boulder Creek Golf Course, Sanjuan finished even par in the final round. She combined for a two-round score of 141, finishing three under par for the tournament and in a tie for 21st overall.
Freshman Elisa Pierre wrapped up another good round of play as she finished even on the day and 1-under for the event (143). In her final round, Pierre posted five birdies including three in the first nine holes and ended in a tie for 36th overall.
As a team, IU combined for a 294 in the round and finished up 1-over par with a 577 in a tie for 11th place with Gonzaga. Sophomore Erin Harper posted a 72, her lowest round of the season, to finish tied for 54th overall (145) while junior Alix Kong and Theresa-Ann Jedra finished in a tie for 75th overall (149).
This marks the end of the fall season for Indiana, who resumes play at the Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, Ariz. Feb. 26-27.
