CHICAGO – After 36 holes at the Northern Intercollegiate on Sunday, the Indiana men's golf team is in third place with a score of 598 (299-299; +30), just one shot behing Marquette for second place. The tournament is hosted by Northern Illinois and is being played at Beverly Country Club.

The Hoosiers will tee off in their final round at 9:30 a.m. on Monday.

Junior Brendon Doyle was the top performer for IU on Sunday, posting rounds of 71 and 72 to sit in fifth place at 1-over par. After starting his day with a bogey on his first hole – No. 7 – he rattled off 10 straight pars before carding birdies on two of the next four holes before a bogey on No. 4 left him at even par for the round. In the second round, Doyle logged three birdies and four bogeys on his way to a 1-over par 72.

Joining Doyle in the top 15 through 36 holes is senior Andrew Havill, who is tied for 11th with a score of 148 (75-73). Havill opened his first round with five bogeys and one birdie before rallying with five bogeys and three birdies in round two.

Brock Ochsenreiter, a freshman from Nashville, Tennessee, gives the Hoosiers three players in the top 25, as his rounds of 75 and 77 put him in a tie for 24th with a score 152.

Jake Brown is tied for 39th with a score of 157 after scores of 80 and 77 on Sunday and Keegan Vea is in 55th position after his scores of 78 and 83.

The Hoosiers also have two players competing as individuals, and Trevor Ranton used scores of 78 and 76 to sit in 31st place after 36 holes. And senior Will Seger struggled in his first round (82) before rebounding with a 75 in round two and is tied for 39th.
