adidas Reveals IU uniform for Armed Forces Classic

BLOOMINGTON, Indiana – On Friday, November 11th, the 5th annual Armed Forces Classic – an event that pits four of the most iconic collegiate basketball programs against one another – will take place at the Stan Sheriff Center on the University of Hawaii campus in Honolulu. The event is strategically timed to honor America's bravest on Veterans Day and to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
As part of the event, one of the key marque matchups will be between Kansas and Indiana at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN – both of which are Adidas partners.
To mark this special occasion, commemorate those lost in the Pearl Harbor attacks and pay respect to the armed forces and its veterans, adidas has created a unique, one-off uniform for each team.
Kansas in blue with stars and Indiana in red with stripes, the combination makes for a patriotic look. Both teams' uniforms feature an emblem with the message 'Remember Pearl Harbor.'
Furthermore, for this game, players name plates will be replaced with the words 'Honor' and 'Courage.'
December 7th, 1941, an infamous day that lead to the unification of a nation. The attack on the US Naval Base at Pearl Harbor was meant to destroy our nation's resolve but ultimately did the opposite. As a nod to those who endured the attack and a reminder of the unifying power of sport, adidas will outfit Kansas and Indiana in commemorative uniforms as they face off at the 5th annual Armed Forces Classic.
