WMU Super Challenge Next for Hoosiers

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team is set to travel to Kalamazoo, Mich., for the WMU Super Challenge this weekend, its final tournament of the fall season. Play will begin on Friday at Sorensen Courts (Weather dependent) at 11:30 a.m.
Western Michigan is the tournament host and other teams competing will be Michigan State, Cleveland State and DePaul.
On Friday and Saturday, the teams will play one round of doubles at starting at 11:30 a.m., followed by one round of singles and a second round of doubles. On Sunday, the final round of singles play will start at 11 a.m.
All nine of the Hoosiers players on their roster will compete in this tournament.
Last time out the majority of the Hoosiers competed at the IU Regional and the trio of Kim Schmider, Madison Appel and Paula Gutierrez went to the ITA Regional Championships.
Sophomore Caitlin Bernard got a productive tournament at the IU Regional as the made it to the finals of her flight in singles.
Schmider and Appel teamed up for doubles and made it to the semifinals at the ITA Regional Championships.
