Armed Forces Classic - Day 1; Hoosiers On Sports Illustrated Preseason Honors List

HONOLULU - The travel party for the Indiana University men's basketball program left Cook Hall at 5:15 a.m. EST and arrived in Honolulu around 3:30 p.m. HST (8:30 p.m. EST) after an hour layover in Dallas.
This is IU's second trip to Hawaii in two years having played last year in the Maui Classic. The Hoosiers immediately boarded a bus which took them to Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam where they joined Michigan State, Arizona and Kansas for a buffet dinner at the Officer's Club.
The team and staff were honored to meet and mingle with several military personnel who were outstanding hosts.
Wednesday is another full day of events for the team in association with the event, leading up to Friday's season opener against #2/3 Kansas at 9:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Also on Wednesday, SportsIllustrated.com released their preseason picks for player of the year, breakout players to look for and other honors and the Hoosiers found their names mentioned. OG Anunoby was listed as a "Breakout Player" by Seth Davis and Brian Hamilton. Anunoby was also mentioned as an "Impact Defender" by Chris Johnson.
