No. 16 Indiana Takes Down Delaware State, 103-56

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The No. 16 Indiana Hoosiers (9-2) extended their home winning streak inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall to 25 games tonight, following a 103 – 56 wire-to-wire route of the Delaware State Hornets (3-10).
OG Anunoby led all scorers in tonight's game with 19 points, going 9-for-11 from the field. Anunoby also posted nine rebounds in tonight's effort, and produced a career-high four blocked shots on the defensive end of the floor. James Blackmon Jr. was not far behind Anunoby in the scoring department, as he posted 18 points, shooting 7-of-11 from the field.
Indiana started the game on an 8 – 3 run and never looked back from there. The Hoosiers went on several scoring runs throughout the first half, including closing the final 6:34 of the first half on a 15 – 4 stretch. This run saw the Hoosiers lead elevate to 54 – 30 heading into the half, and was highlighted by an emphatic one-handed throw down by Thomas Bryant at the 1:09 mark of the half. Bryant ended the night with 14 points, six rebounds and four assists.
Throughout the first half, the Hoosiers combined to produce 15-team assists and in the process accumulated four different double-digit scorers. Indiana finished the first half shooting 22-for-31 (71 percent) from the field and 8-for-13 (62 percent) on their 3-point attempts.
Indiana's defense spoke for much of the night, as was evident when the Hoosiers opened the first 12 minutes of the half on a 30 – 8 run. Indiana would finish the second half allowing only 26-second-half-points.
Indiana finished the evening shooting 42-for-63 (66.7 percent) from the field and outrebounded the Hornets of Delaware State by a margin of 16 (44 – 28). Indiana has now outrebounded every team they've played, with the exception of North Carolina, which the teams tied in rebounds.
Robert Johnson had another notable performance, as he scored 16 points tonight, shooting 7-for-14 from the floor, and he also led Indiana tonight in the assist department with six.
Tonight, Indiana produced 28 team assists for the game, and produced 45 points off of the bench, both of which are season highs for the Hoosiers.
The 25-game home winning streak now ties Indiana's fifth longest mark of all time, and is also fifth on the list of active NCAA home winning streaks, trailing the fourth spot held by California by only two games.
The Hoosiers return home to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in three days time, Thursday, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. when they face the Governors of Austin Peay State University. The game will be available statewide on the IU Radio Network, and will be aired on BTN+.
