Women’s Soccer Earns 14 Academic All-Big Ten Selections

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Once again, Indiana Women's Soccer saw every eligible member of the team earn Academic All-Big Ten accolades as 14 were named to the list on Wednesday.

To be eligible for the award, the student must have played in the 2016 season, carry a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in at least the second year at the academic institution. IU Women's Soccer has landed 14 or more names on the list each year since 2010.

Redshirt senior Marissa Borschke and senior Veronica Ellis have earned the honor the last three seasons, while this is the second time senior Ari Kowalski and juniors Kylie Kirk, Annelie Leitner and Kayla Smith have done so. It marks the first award for redshirt sophomore Mykayla Brown, sophomores Abby Allen, Cassidy Blacha, Caroline Dreher, Hanna Johnson, Justine Lynn and Maya Piper, as well as redshirt freshman Bristal Hadley-Mautino, all of whom were eligible for the first time in 2016.

In addition, Dreher was recognized as one of just 16 honorees in the entire conference to maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA.
