Postgame Notes
• With the victory, the Hoosiers improve to 9-5 in Big Ten play, their best start in league play since starting 9-5 during the 2005-06 season.
• Indiana is now 12-0 at home this season, the best home start in program history. The Hoosiers are the only team in the Big Ten and one of 19 teams nationally (as of Feb. 11) to be undefeated at home this season.
• The Hoosiers have won four straight Big Ten games and seven of their last eight. The last time Indiana won four straight Big Ten games was in 2008-09.
• Trailing 29-23 at halftime, the Hoosiers outscored Wisconsin 18-7 in the third quarter and 44-28 in the second half.
• The Hoosiers used a 9-0 run and held Wisconsin scoreless for 6:43 of game time in the third quarter to build a 40-35 lead.
• Indiana continued their momentum into the fourth quarter and added to the run to make it a 19-6 spurt to lead 52-45 with 6:28 to play in the game.
• The Hoosiers made their first four shots of the third quarter and first four shots of the fourth quarter and shot 13-of-26 (50 percent) in the second half.
• Indiana held Wisconsin to 57 points, the eighth time this season it has held an opponent to 59 or fewer points. The Hoosiers are 8-0 in those games.
• Sophomore Tyra Buss led the Hoosiers with 24 points and added nine rebounds, five assists and two steals. Buss scored eight of the Hoosiers first 10 points in the third quarter
• Buss recorded her 12th game this season with at least 20 points and has scored in double-figures in every game this season (26) and dating back to last year 30 straight games.
• Buss connected on 11-of-11 from the free-throw line and has made 38-of-41 (92.7 percent) from the free-throw line in her last six games. Buss has made 165 free throws this season, which is tied for third on the Hoosiers all-time list for a single season. Buss needs 23 free throws to set the Indiana school record for single season free throws.
• Sophomore Amanda Cahill scored in double-figures for the 19th straight game with 12 points and pulled down seven rebounds.
• Junior Alexis Gassion scored 10 points and added three rebounds, two assists and two steals.
• Junior Karlee McBride scored nine points and added two assists and three steals.
• Junior Jenn Anderson scored two points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
