Postgame Notes
• With the victory, Indiana improves to 15-0 in Assembly Hall this season. The last time a Hoosier basketball team started 15-0 at home was the 2006-07 season, when the squad finished the year with a perfect 15-0 mark in Assembly Hall.
• The Hoosiers now have a 12-4 all-time series lead over Nebraska and have won the last three meetings between the two teams.
• Indiana improves to 21-6 overall and 11-3 in the Big Ten.
• The Hoosiers closed the final 5:09 of the first half on a 17-4 run to go into the break with a 41-34 lead.
• In addition, the Hoosiers opened the first 6:11 of the second half on a 16-4 run. Combined with the first half run, Indiana outscored Nebraska 33-8 in a time span of 11:20, to take a 57-38 lead.
• The Hoosiers outscored the Cornhuskers in bench points, 26-16 and have scored at least 20 bench points in each of their last three games.
• Indiana has outscored opponents in bench points, 78-28 over its last three games.
• Since Nebraska had a 22-17 lead at 7:50 in the first half, the Hoosiers outscored them 37-14 to take a 54-36 lead.
• After making nine threes tonight, the Hoosiers have made at least nine treys in 20 of 27 games this season.
• The Hoosiers outrebounded Nebraska 32-26 and have outrebounded opponents in 24 of 27 games this season.
• Indiana shot 27-of-51 (52.9) from the field, the 14th game this season the Hoosiers have shot 50 percent or better.
• Junior Troy Williams led the Hoosiers with 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the field and added five rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal.
• Williams now has 989 points for his career, needing 11 points to reach 1,000. Under Tom Crean the Hoosiers have had seven players reach 1,000 points. Williams would become the 49th IU player to reach the milestone.
• Sophomore Robert Johnson scored 13 points and added three rebounds and three assists.
• Freshman Juwan Morgan had career-highs in points (12) and rebounds (5).
• Senior Kevin Yogi Ferrell scored 11 points and added four assists and two rebounds.
• Ferrell's 11 points pushed his total to 1,827 career points, which is seventh all-time at IU. He needs 153 more points to pass Alan Henderson for sixth on that list (1,979). Ferrell has 987 career points for Big Ten games and is 18 points from passing Kent Benson for 10th on the scoring list for conference games.
• Ferrell dished out four assists against Nebraska to extend his IU record to 589. That total is just 11 shy of breaking into the top 10 in Big Ten history (Eric Snow – 599). He also has 296 in conference play, which is third in program history, just 17 behind Quinn Buckner for second (313).
• Junior Collin Hartman scored eight points and grabbed five rebounds.
• Graduate students Nick Zeisloft and Max Bielfeldt scored six points apiece.
• Freshman Thomas Bryant tallied a career-high three assists.
• Freshman OG Anunoby scored two points and grabbed six rebounds.
