Postgame Notes
• With the victory, Indiana's 10-5 mark in the Big Ten is its best through 15 games since the 1982-83 season when IU started 14-1.
• Indiana has won five straight games and eight of the last nine. The last time the Hoosiers had a five game win streak in Big Ten play was the 1982-83 season when they won eight in a row.
• The Hoosiers are 13-0 in Assembly Hall this season, the best home start in program history. Indiana is the only team in the Big Ten with a perfect mark at home and one of 19 teams nationally undefeated at home entering tonight.
• The Indiana men's and women's basketball programs are a combined 28-0 in Assembly Hall this season. Indiana is one of three schools in the country with an undefeated home record in both men's and women's basketball (Albany and Princeton).
• Trailing 27-24 with 4:58 to play in the second period, the Hoosiers used a 19-9 run to close the half and take a 43-36 lead into halftime.
• Indiana closed the game on a 19-8 run in the final 5:38 after Minnesota cut the IU lead to three.
• The Hoosiers scored a season-high 93 points against Minnesota.
• The 93 points scored by Indiana are the most points scored in a Big Ten game bay an IU team since February 16, 1997 when the Hoosiers beat Minnesota 103-75.
• The 42 free throws attempted tie for the most free throws attempted in a Big Ten game in school history. Indiana also shot 42 free throws against Michigan this season on Jan. 3.
• The Hoosiers outrebounded Minnesota 42-36 and are 12-1 this season when they outrebound their opponent.
• Sophomore Tyra Buss notched her 13th game of the season scoring at least 20 points with a Big Ten career-high 27 points. Buss added nine rebounds, seven assists and three steals.
• Buss made 10 free throws in the game and has 175 for the season, which ranks third on Indiana's all-time single season list. She is five from passing Jori Davis for second and 13 from the school record, currently held by Jenny DeMuth in 2003-04.
• Buss now has 877 career points, which ranks as the fourth most of any IU player through their freshman and sophomore seasons.
• Junior Jenn Anderson scored a season-high tying 18 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field and pulled down five rebounds.
• Junior Alexis Gassion scored 16 points and added five rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks.
• Freshman Kym Royster scored 11 points and added four rebounds and two blocks.
• Sophomore Amanda Cahill scored six points and grabbed eight rebounds.
• Junior Karlee McBride scored eight points and added one assist.
• Sophomore Jess Walter scored five points and added one rebound and one assist.
