Postgame Notes
• With the win, the Hoosiers improve to 16-0 at Assembly Hall, their best start at home in program history. It is the fourth-most wins at home in school history (2011-12, 18; 2012-13, 17; 2007-08, 17).
• Indiana improves to 22-6 overall and 12-3 in conference games. It is the most overall wins and conference wins since the 2012-13 (29 overall and 14 in the Big Ten).
• Over the last five years the Hoosiers are 17-2 (.895 winning percentage) against ranked opponents in Assembly Hall. They have won nine consecutive games at home against ranked opponents.
• This is the third season in the last 20 years the Hoosiers have won 12 Big Ten games in their first 15 (2008, 2013).
• The Hoosiers have won three of the last four meetings in Bloomington.
• The Hoosiers committed a season-low four turnovers with one at the half. Indiana held a 20-3 advantage in points off turnovers, including 16-0 at the half. It's the fewest turnovers in a game since Feb, 25, 2015 against Northwestern.
• Indiana also held a 14-4 advantage in fastbreak points.
• With Purdue leading 15-12 at the 13:15 mark of the first half the Hoosiers used a 20-5 run to go up 32-20 at the 6:21 mark of the opening half.
• After making 12 threes tonight, the Hoosiers have made at least nine treys in 21 of 27 games this season. Seven different players made a 3-point field goals for the Hoosiers.
• The last time the Hoosiers had 26 or fewer rebounds in a win was March 13, 2012 against New Mexico State in the NCAA Tournament (21).
• Senior Kevin Yogi Ferrell scored 18 points and dished out four assists. Ferrell's 130 starts is tied for the school record (Christian Watford).
• Ferrell's 18 points pushed his total to 1,845 career points, which is seventh all-time at IU. He needs 135 more points to pass Alan Henderson for sixth on that list (1,979). Ferrell has 1,005 career points for Big Ten games and passed Kent Benson for 10th on the Hoosiers all-time list for career Big Ten points. Ferrell is 57 points from passing Greg Graham (1,061) for ninth on the list.
• Ferrell dished out four assist against Nebraska to extend his IU record to 593. That total is just seven shy of breaking into the top 10 in Big Ten history (Eric Snow – 599). He also has 300 in conference play, which is third in program history, just 13 behind Quinn Buckner for second (313). Ferrell is ninth in the Hoosiers record book for season assists with 155.
• Junior Troy Williams scored 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and added two assists and four steals.
• Williams became the eighth player under Tom Crean and 49th in program history to reach 1,000 points and now has 1,008 for his career.
• Graduate student Max Bielfeldt made his third start for the Hoosiers and scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds.
• Freshman Thomas Bryant scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds.
• Freshman OG Anunoby scored nine points.
• Sophomore Robert Johnson scored six points and grabbed three rebounds.
