Four Hoosiers to Participate in This Week’s NFL Combine

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana running back Jordan Howard, defensive lineman Darius Latham, offensive lineman Jason Spriggs and quarterback Nate Sudfeld will participate in the NFL Combine, with action beginning on Tuesday.
Spriggs and Howard will begin activities on Tuesday. Sudfeld will start on Wednesday with Latham beginning on Thursday. For a complete combine schedule, click HERE.
A 2015 first team All-Big Ten selection, Howard entered the bowl season second in the Big Ten with 134.8 rushing yards per game (9th nationally) and 146.6 all-purpose yards per game (15th). He finished the year with 1,213 rushing yards (3rd in the Big Ten; 30th nationally) on 196 carries (3rd), a 6.2 average (3rd; 26th), with nine rushing touchdowns and 10 total TDs despite missing 22 quarters of action.
En route to honorable mention All-Big Ten recognition in 2015, Latham posted 33 tackles, four sacks (T-2nd on the team) and 10 tackles for loss in 11 games. He collected his first career interception in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl vs. Duke and shared seventh nationally with two blocked kicks.
Latham finished his career with 81 stops, 31 solo, 7.5 sacks (42 yards), 18.5 tackles TFLs (66 yards), two fumble recoveries, one INT, seven pass breakups and two blocked extra points.
Spriggs, along with right guard Dan Feeney, became the fifth and sixth first team All-America offensive linemen in program history. He started 28 consecutive games to begin his career and made 47 starts in 48 games at left tackle.
He was a 2015 Football Writers Association of America first team All-American and also earned All-America recognition from Phil Steele, Sporting News, the Walter Camp Football Foundation, the Associated Press and Sports Illustrated. Spriggs became the first Outland Trophy semifinalist in school history.
Sudfeld closed out his career as the program's all-time passing touchdowns (61), passing yardage (7,879), 350-yard games (6) and 300-yard games (11) leader, and ended up second with 593 completions, third with 8,011 total yards and fourth with 983 attempts in 37 career games (26 starts).
In 2015, he finished first on the Indiana single-season passing charts with 3,573 passing yards, five 350-plus yard games and seven 300-yard games, second with 27 touchdowns, fourth with 412 attempts and tied for fourth with 247 completions.
The four participants are the most in head coach Kevin Wilson's five seasons and tied for the fourth-most in the Big Ten.
