This week: Coach Tom Crean's Hoosiers enter the final week of the season with a game and a half edge in the Big Ten standings over #8 Iowa and #9/10 Maryland. The Hoosiers will play at Iowa City on Tuesday night (9 p.m., ESPN) and will host the Terrapins (4:30 p.m., CBS) next Sunday.
• The Hoosiers are 23-6 and 13-3 in the Big Ten. For just the third time in 20 seasons, IU has posted 13 wins in its first 16 conference games. The Hoosiers also did it in 2008 and 2013.
• IU is looking for its second Big Ten title in four years (2013). The Hoosiers have not won multiple Big Ten titles in a four-year period since the 1991 and 1993 seasons.
• IU is ranked 15th in the USA Today Coaches Poll and 18th by the Associated Press.
• IU has posted 20-win seasons in four of the last five years and has a record of 116-51 since the 2011-12 season.
• Senior All-American candidate Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell established a new IU record with his 131st career start at Illinois on Feb. 25. He needs two assists to become the second player in Big Ten history with at least 1,800 points, 600 assists and 400 rebounds (Dee Brown, Illinois).
• Ferrell is looking to join IU greats Calbert Cheaney, Don Schlundt, Damon Bailey, and Kent Benson to rank among the top 10 scorers all-time at IU and win multiple Big Ten titles.
• Ferrell is now 2nd all-time at IU in 3-pointers overall with 257 (283, AJ Guyton) and in 3-pointers in Big Ten play 154 (Guyton, 157). He has 1,872 points in his career to remain in seventh place on the IU career list after dropping 27 points against the Illini. He is 108 shy of passing Alan Henderson for sixth on that list. He now has 29 career games of 20 points or more.
• In Big Ten games, Ferrell has 1,032 career points, which leaves him in 10th place on the all-time list at Indiana and he is 30 points from passing Greg Graham (1,061) for ninth on the list.
• Junior forward Troy Williams became the 49th player in IU history to surpass 1,000 career points and the eighth to do it under head coach Tom Crean.
• IU is 17-2 against nationally ranked teams in Assembly Hall since 2011-12
• IU has a Big Ten best 21-16 record against nationally ranked teams since 2011-12.
• The Hoosiers are 4th in the country in field goal percentage (50.2), 6th in 3-point field goal percentage (41.7), 8th in scoring margin (14.1), 11th in 3-point field goals made per game (10.1), and 12th in scoring offense (82.9).
• Indiana has made 293 3-point field goals in 29 games and needs 27 more triples to break the school record of 319 set last season.
• Freshman Thomas Bryant leads the Big Ten shooting 69.7% from the field overall and 67.9% in Big Ten play. Both would be new school records.

The Illinois Game
• The Hoosiers have won back-to-back games in Champaign for the first time since 1992 and 1993 Big Ten seasons. Last year, the Hoosiers topped the Illini by a score of 80-74.
• The 27-point margin of victory is the largest in the series in Champaign since Jan. 17, 1976, when IU won by 28 points (83-55). IU leads the nation with 11 wins of 25 points or more.
• The 47 points allowed is the fewest points Indiana has allowed in a win since giving up 46 to Illinois in Bloomington on Jan. 26, 2014 (56-46 Indiana win).
• The 47 points allowed are the fewest in a Big Ten road game since a 59-44 win at Northwestern on Jan. 2, 2002.
• IU connected on 13-of-32 attempts from behind the 3-point line in the game, the 16th time in 29 games they have made at least 10 triples in a game and the eighth time in 16 Big Ten games to this point.
• The Hoosiers rallied from an early 10-point deficit (14-4). It is the second time this season that IU came back when trailing by double digits (11, at Michigan) and the second straight year the Hoosiers turned the trick at Illinois (trailed by 11, won by 6). The Hoosiers also have overcome 9-point deficits at Minnesota and at home against Wisconsin.
Did You Know
• Junior Collin Hartman is shooting 45.6% in Big Ten play from three-point range combined over the last two seasons. That is the third highest total among players who have taken more than 75 three-point attempts in the last two years in the league.
• Graduate student Nick Zeisloft is 13th in the country over the last two years in three-point field goal percentage among major college players hitting on 43.7% of his long distance attempts.
• Freshmen OG Anunoby and Juwan Morgan have combined to shoot 55.8% from the field and 46.4% from the 3-point line in Big Ten play this season and have helped IU to the second rated defense in conference play.
• Graduate student Max Bielfeldt is averaging 8.1 points and 4.7 and could win his second Big Ten championship in three years (Michigan, 2014). His value on the court and in the locker room arguably makes him the newcomer with the biggest impact on his team this Big Ten season.
Crean Era Superlatives In Big Ten Play
