FULLERTON, Calif. - Indiana Baseball (1-5) dropped its series finale to the Cal State Fullerton Titans by a score of 6-1 on Sunday afternoon. IU's lone run came in a third inning home run by sophomore Laren Eustace.
Senior left-handed pitcher Caleb Baragar started on the mound for Indiana, allowing five hits and two earned runs in 5.2 innings of work. The southpaw struck out a career-high eight batters while allowing two walks.
On the offensive end, Indiana accumulated seven hits on the afternoon, led by a 2-for-4 effort from junior Alex Krupa, with his single in the second inning being his first career hit in a Hoosier uniform. Junior Craig Dedelow extended his reached base streak to 11 games with a single in the sixth.
Freshman Luke Miller, sophomore Chris Lowe and junior Austin Cangelosi each collected hits as well in the loss.
Following Eustace's home run in the top of the third, Fullerton came marching back with two runs in the bottom half. The damage came on a two-run triple by the Titans' Josh Vargas to put his squad ahead 2-1.
After a scoreless fourth Fullerton added another run in the fifth and a three-spot in the sixth, resulting in a 6-1 score.
