Postgame Notes
• Indiana finishes the season with 21 wins, which is ties for the most in school history. It is the sixth time an Indiana team has achieved 21 wins in a single season (last 2013-14).
• The seven 3-point field goals in the game are the most in school history in an NCAA Tournament game.
• Karlee McBride set an individual IU NCAA Tournament single game record with her four 3-point field goals. McBride connected on 4-of-6 from 3-point range.
• Alexis Gassion set an individual IU NCAA Tournament single game record with eight assists.
• The 70 points the Hoosiers scored against Notre Dame is tied for the second most points in a single game in IU NCAA Tournament history.
• The Hoosiers had five players score in double figures led by 17 apiece from Alexis Gassion and Karlee McBride. Amanda Cahill, Tyra Buss and Kym Royster each had 10 for the Hoosiers.
• Royster posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, the second of her career.
• Cahill pulled down five rebounds and finishes the year ranked seventh in IU history for single season rebounds with 279.
• Trailing 55-42 at the 7:02 mark of the third quarter the Hoosiers used a 12-1 run to get within two at 56-54 with 2:47 to play in the third period.
• The Hoosiers scored 70 points against Notre Dame, just the seventh Fighting Irish opponent to reach 70 points this season.
• With their 132 points combined in their two NCAA Tournament games the Hoosiers finish the season with 2,361 points, which ranks third most for a single season in program history.
• Indiana converted nine free throws to bring its total to 518 on the season, which is the third most in a single season in school history.
• For the season the Hoosiers made 212 more free throws then their opponents (518-306) and made 59 more free throws then their opponents attempted.
• Tyra Buss finished the season scoring in double figures in every game and has scored in 37 straight games dating back to 2015.
• Buss finishes the season with 620 points, the third most in a single season in program history. Buss now has 982 points for her career, an IU school record for combined freshman/sophomore scoring.
• Buss dished out five assists and finishes the season with 144 assists, which ranks eighth on the Hoosiers all-time list for single season assists.
