Hoosiers Add Jessica Admire

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana volleyball team has added sophomore outside hitter Jessica Admire to the roster for the 2016 season. Admire, a native of Franklin, Ind., played her freshman season at Butler.
Admire played at Franklin Community High School, where she was Second Team All-State her senior season and a three-time team MVP as well as a two-time County Player of the Year. Admire also was a First Team Academic All-State honoree in her senior year and was selected to the Indiana All-Star Team.
In her freshman season at Butler, Admire was named to the Rumble on the Rockies All-Tournament Team and finished the season with 81 kills in 60 sets. She notched a career-high 12 kills against South Dakota.
"I love that Jess was already coming and admitted to IU before we even talked," IU head coach Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan said. "She clearly understands the opportunities in front of her and appreciates them all. When we originally recruited Jess, I remember the fire she had when she competed and the love she had for the game. She will be a great addition to our program."
"I can't wait to get out there and compete in the best conference in the Big Ten," Admire said. "I want to bring a positive attitude and a very strong drive and work ethic to get after it everyday."
Admire and the Hoosiers kick off the 2016 season at home as they host the Indiana Invitational Aug. 26-27 at University Gym against Northern Kentucky, Evansville and Marshall.
