Indiana welcomes eight newcomers for the 2016 season
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana field hockey coach Amanda Janney has announced two additions to the Hoosiers' 2016 signing class. Next fall, Andi Jackson (Davis, Calif.) and Sheridan Weiss (Lake Forest, Ill.) will don the Cream & Crimson along with six previous signees.

Andi Jackson | M
Davis, Calif. / Davis Senior H.S.
Jackson played four seasons under head coach Sandie Marrioti Huckins at Davis Senior High School, earning three varsity letters in her time with the Blue Devils. In her final three seasons, the Blue Devils went a combined 40-2 with two 14-0 seasons in her junior and senior years. With Jackson, the Blue Devils won two Eastern Athletic League (EAL) regular season titles and three EAL tournament championships.
As a midfielder, Jackson twice won the EAL Defensive Player of the Year award, along with two EAL All-League accolades and two EAL All-Tournament honors. She served as a team captain in her senior season.
Jackson joins senior defender Malia Fujisawa as Hoosiers hailing from Davis Senior High School.

Sheridan Weiss | F
Lake Forest, Ill. / Lake Forest H.S.
Weiss earned three varsity letters under head coach Melanie Walsh at Lake Forest High School. The forward played a vital role in the Scouts' three top-three state playoff finishes, including a state title in 2013.
In her final two years, Weiss led the Scouts in scoring, and led the team in assists in her senior season. Her impact on the offensive end led to All-State honors in 2014 and 2015.
Weiss excelled in her athletic career away from the turf as well. The future Hoosier was a four-time letter winner for the Scouts' varsity soccer team and earned two varsity letters in ice hockey.
