BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University head men's soccer coach Todd Yeagley announced the program's 2016 schedule on Wednesday, featuring nine matches at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
The Hoosiers will once again play one of the more difficult schedules in the nation this fall, with 14 of the 17 opponents posting a top-100 RPI in 2015, including nine in the top-30. The 2016 slate includes five squads that made the 2015 NCAA Tournament, including Stanford, who won the national title a season ago.
"This schedule is as challenging as any schedule we've had in the last five years," IU head coach Todd Yeagley remarked. "What I like is that it has different styles of opponents and teams from different regions. It's definitely going to test us, which is really the goal behind this. Come NCAA Tournament time, if everything has gone well, we will have seen the best of the best, so we're prepared and know what we need to do to make a run."
Season tickets for 2016 are now on sale at $27 for adults and $9 ages 3-18. Children two and under are free. Each adult season ticket also comes with a $10 concession voucher. Indiana University faculty/staff and students receive free admission.
Season tickets can be purchased at the IU Athletics Ticket office, by phone (1-866-IUSPORTS) or online at IUHoosiers.com.
Before the official start of the 2016 season, the Hoosiers will play a pair of exhibition matches in Bloomington against Loyola Chicago (August 16-7:30 p.m.) and Oakland (August 18-7:30 p.m.).
