Three Hoosiers Earn All-American Scholar Honors

NORMAN, Oklahoma – The Golf Coaches Association of America announced the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-American Scholars for 2015-16 on Wednesday, and the Indiana men's golf team had a trio of representatives make the list. Senior Max Kollin was joined by juniors Andrew Havill and Keegan Vea on the list of honorees that included a total of 212 Division I men's golfers.
The last Indiana men's golfer to receive this honor was David Mills following the 2013-14 season.
Kollin played in all 31 rounds during the 2015-16 season for Indiana, posting a scoring average of 75.52 with a pair of top 25 finishes.
Havill also competed in all 31 rounds of stroke play competition during the 2015-16 season, compiling a scoring average of 75.00, which was second best on the team.
Vea's scoring average of 75.09 was third-best on the team while competing in all 31 competitive stroke play rounds for the Hoosiers in 2015-16.
To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status, an individual must:
• Be a junior or senior academically
• Compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level
• Participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds,
• Have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I
• Maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2
• A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university
