There are just seven days until the Indiana Volleyball team opens the 2016 season on August 26 at home against Northern Kentucky. Today we get to know junior Jessica Leish.

The best part about being an IU student-athlete is: Being constantly surrounded by amazing people who share the same passion about their sport as I do!
What I like most about Coach Dunbar and the staff: They truly care about us outside of volleyball, and want to make us not only the best players, but best people as we can be.
I'm most looking forward to _______this season: Going to the tournament.
I choose my jersey number because: Lucky number 7! I was always 8 in high school, but Amelia Anderson had it when I came in, so it was the closest and I liked the number. Plus I got to be locker buddies with Meals and Lebo these past two years!
My pre-match superstitions: Locker room dance parties.
My most memorable moment as a volleyball player: Beating Minnesota freshman year.
This season will be a success if: We come together as a team and combine our talents and passion.
Off the court
I first started playing volleyball when I was: 8 years old.
My favorite activity outside of volleyball is: Sleeping.
My most prizes possession is: My blanket that I got when I was born.
My favorite game to play when I was in elementary school: Cops and Robbers.
The one talent I wish I had: Singing (even though I already think I do).
Favorite food: Anything my mom cooks.
If I didn't play volleyball I would play: Quidditch
My dream job is: A rockstar.
One unique thing about me: I can roll my belly
The best movie I saw this summer was: Finding Dory
