Field Hockey Preseason Rankings Announced

Hoosiers among teams receiving votes to open the season
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced Tuesday the Penn Monto / NFHCA Preseason Polls, ranking the top NCAA Division-I field hockey programs prior to the national season kickoff on Friday, August 26. The Indiana Hoosiers are among those receiving votes in the preliminary polls.
With the revelation of the national rankings, Indiana will take on nine teams ranked in the preseason top 20, including five teams in the top ten. In addition, the Hoosiers' 2016 schedule contains six teams receiving votes outside of the top 20.
Indiana will open their season on Friday, August 26 against No. 12 Louisville at the IU Field Hockey Complex. The game is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. ET, and will stream live on BTN Plus (subscription required).
