Indiana’s Thompson Garners National, Big Ten Accolades

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University men's soccer senior MF Tanner Thompson earned national and Big Ten accolades for his play this past weekend in the Mike Berticelli Memorial Tournament.
Thompson was named Top Drawer Soccer's Player of the Week, the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and to College Soccer News' Team of the Week.
The senior had a great weekend in helping lead the Hoosiers to the team's first 2-0-0 start since 2012, scoring the game-winning goal in each match and recording an assist in the 3-1 win over UC Irvine.
The Hoosiers will return to Bloomington to host the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic this weekend at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium. The action gets underway on Friday, Sept. 2 when IU hosts California at 8:30 p.m. ET.
