INDIANA LINEUP
The Hoosiers will send five guys to compete towards the team score and also have one individual competing. The lineup for the weekend looks like this:
LAST YEAR AT THE WINDON MEMORIAL
Last year, the Hoosiers finished in sixth place at the Windon Memorial with a team score of 862 (289-293-280; +10). The final round is where Indiana showed what they could do, as Jake Brown (66) and Keegan Vea (68) both carded rounds in the 60s to help the Hoosiers surge up the leaderboard. Those two finished the tournament with a score of 213 and a tie for 17th to pace the Cream and Crimson.
In 2008, Jorge Campillo fired a final round 63 at the North Shore Country Club to win medalist honors at the Windon Memorial. That score ranks as the third-best single-round score in IU history.
Here's a look at the Hoosiers previous appearances in the Windon Memorial:
RECAP FROM OLYMPIA FIELDS
In what is annually one of the best – if not the best – fields in collegiate golf, the Hoosiers entered the final round in 10th place out of 14 teams at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational. But when the dust settled on the final round, Indiana slipped to 14th place but were just four shots out of 10th place and showed that they can compete with some of the best teams in the country.
Senior Andrew Havill continued to show the way for IU early in the season, as he posted scores of 73-70-73 to earn his second Top 20 finish of the season (T19). Brendon Doyle was just one shot behind him at 217 and in 21st place.
SEASON OPENER AT WOLF RUN
The Hoosiers hosted 14 teams at Wolf Run Golf Club to open the 2016-17 season and finished sixth with a score of 590 after the tournament had to be shortened to 36 holes due to rain. Andrew Havill led Indiana with a T6 finish and a score of 143 (+1). Doyle joined Havill in the top 20 with a score of 145 that was good for a tie 14th.
Freshman Brock Ochsenreiter also made his college debut at Wolf Run, posting scores of 76 and 77 to tie for 45th.
NEW FACE
Brock Ochsenreiter (pronounced "Oxen-writer), a freshman from Nashville, Tennessee, earned the No. 3 spot in the lineup this week and will make his collegiate debut. He is the two-time defending Division II-AA state champion in Tennessee and finished his junior career with a scoring average of 73.1 in the last 48 events. He also earned Player of the Year honors in 2015 from The Tennessean.
