Allison Brunner (rowing) and Wes Duke (men's swimming) have been selected as the October Scholar Athletes of the Month.
Allison Brunner: Sophomore, Rowing, Media Major – "Allison has entered this semester determined to succeed academically. She faced many challenges throughout her freshman year, but learned a lot of valuable skills. Through dedicated work with her mentor, Allison created a weekly schedule, has a daily study plan and is a regular in the Shuel Academic Center. Allison is more on top of things, and her grades are proving it. I have no doubt she will continue to succeed this semester." –Angie Krilich, Academic Advisor
Wes Duke: Sophomore, Men's Swimming, Business Major – "Wes is a sophomore who transferred to IU this fall. He had been out of school for the last year, and is finding his groove again with his academics. He was able to do very well in a tough summer course and that has carried over into the fall semester. Wes is balancing a challenging work load and adjusting to his new school, and is doing it well. He is on pace to have a great first semester as a Hoosier." –Angie Krilich, Academic Advisor
