IU Moves Up in National Rankings

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana men's soccer team continued to move up in the national rankings in the four major national polls after beating No. 22 Cal and playing No. 5 Stanford to a draw this past weekend at the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic.
In the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll, the Hoosiers moved up one spot to No. 4 in the nation. IU is also ranked No. 4 in the country by Top Drawer Soccer. Indiana is ranked No. 7 in the nation by both College Soccer News and Soccer America.
The Hoosiers have another ranked opponent – No. 2 Maryland – up next on Friday at Bill Armstrong Stadium. IU is also scheduled to play currently ranked No. 19 Butler (Sept. 28), No. 1 Notre Dame (Oct. 4) and No. 17 Louisville (Oct. 11).
The No. 4 Indiana Hoosiers will head north for the team's first true road match of the season on Wednesday, Sept. 14 when the team faces Big Ten rival Michigan in Ann Arbor. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET and will broadcast nationally on the Big Ten Network.
