Kuhn Named Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Following a sweep over in-state rival Purdue, Daniel Kuhn was honored by the Big Ten Conference. Kuhn helped to lead the Hoosier men over the Boilers by a score of 93-41.
Kuhn earns his fifth Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week honor, the first of his junior campaign. Kuhn sprinted to a 1:16.11 finish in the 600m run. That time leads the Big Ten conference and is the fastest time in the NCAA this season. Impressively, his time ranks fourth all-time for collegiate runners on a 200m track.
Daniel is the reigning 600m Big Ten champion. Last season at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio, the sophomore set the school record with a time of 1:16.02. That mark ranks third all-time on an oversized track.
Kuhn garnered second-team All-American accolades last outdoor season. He finished fifth in his heat in the 800m run and ninth overall.
