BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Former Indiana Football standouts Tevin Coleman (Atlanta Falcons) and Jason Spriggs (Green Bay Packers) will face off in the NFC Championship game this Sunday, Jan. 22, at 3:05 p.m. in the Georgia Dome on FOX.
With Coleman and Spriggs squaring off in the NFC Championship, it guarantees a second-straight year that a Hoosier alum will be playing in the Super Bowl. Last year, wide receiver Cody Latimer and the Denver Broncos won Super Bowl 50 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
In last Saturday's win over Seattle, Coleman ran for a team-high 57 yards on 11 carries (5.2 average) with a long for 15. The former All-American gave the Falcons a 19-10 lead with 53 seconds remaining in the first half on a 14-yard touchdown reception. He amassed over 900 yards of offense on the season and scored 11 touchdowns.
Spriggs saw significant time at the left tackle position in Sunday's win at Dallas. During the regular season, Spriggs saw 238 snaps on offense and 78 snaps on special teams. He has appeared in all 18 of Green Bay's games this season.
