Hoosiers Fall at No. 11 Wisconsin

Madison, Wis. – Freshman Kamryn Malloy led the Hoosiers with 10 kills, but Wisconsin hit .423 for the match and won, 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-17) on Friday at the UW Field House.
Sophomore Ally Badowski had a career-high nine kills and junior Elizabeth Asdell added seven kills and hit .385 for the match. Sophomore Deyshia Lofton hit .308 with five kills.
Sophomore setter and Verona, Wis., native Victoria Brisack registered 30 assists and added five digs.
The Hoosiers hit .323 in the first set with 13 kills, but the Badgers hit .467 with 18 kills and took the first set, 25-21.
The Hoosiers came out strong in the second set and got out to an 8-3 lead. Wisconsin got within two at 12-10, but Indiana extended the lead to four at 16-12 on a kill from middle blocker Deyshia Lofton.
Wisconsin came back to tie the second set at 18-18 and went up 19-18, before Elizabeth Asdell brought it back to even at 19-19. The Badgers closed the set with a 6-0 run to take it, 25-19.
In the third set the Badgers hit .409 and went up 10-6 early in the set. The Hoosiers kept it close and were within one at 15-14. The Badgers closed the match with a 10-3 run to win the third set.
Up next the Hoosiers return home to host Rutgers on Oct. 20 and Penn State on Oct. 21.
