Indiana’s Muse Named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University men's soccer's Trey Muse was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
The honor is the second this season for Muse, as he was also named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 3. On Monday, Muse was named to College Soccer News' National Team of the Week.
This past week, Muse and the Hoosier defense posted two more shutouts, running the streak to eight-consecutive matches without conceding a goal. Muse made a season-high six saves in a 2-0 win over No. 19 Kentucky and then made one stop in a 2-0 victory over No. 17 Ohio State.
The freshman leads the nation in goals against average (0.138), save percentage (0.946) and shutouts (12). Muse and the Hoosier defense have not allowed a goal in the last 779:33 minutes of play.
The No. 1 Hoosiers will hit the road to play in-state rival and No. 16-ranked Butler on Wednesday, Oct. 18. Kickoff in Indianapolis is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
