Receveur Earns Third B1G Athlete Of The Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Redshirt junior Katherine Receveur earned Big Ten Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the third time this season, announced by the league on Wednesday.
The Louisville, Ky. native is coming off a 10th place finish at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational. Receveur was the first Big Ten athlete to cross the finish line with the time of 20:00.5, which was a 14 second improvement from her recording setting performance at the 6K Sam Bell Invitational on Sept. 30.
She is the first Hoosier to be selected as the Big Ten Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week three times in their career at Indiana University. Receveur has participated in three meets for the 2017 season and she was nominated as the Big Ten Athlete of the Week for all three performances.
Receveur and the Hoosiers will be back in action next weekend at the Big Ten Championships hosted by Indiana University on October 29. The men's 8K will begin at 10:45 AM EST and the women's 6K will begin at 11:45 AM EST. Admission to the event is free.
