BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Women's Soccer junior Caroline Dreher was named the team's 2017 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner, the conference office announced today.
Dreher played in all 19 games, making 16 starts, which is a new career high for the Westlake, Ohio native.
The 2016 Academic All-Big Ten pick and 2016-17 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar assisted on sophomore Chandra Davidson's game-winning goal at Michigan State on Sept. 14.
The 14 student-athletes chosen as Sportsmanship honorees are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These students must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.
