Alix Kong Named Big Ten Women’s Golfer Of The Week

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Senior Alix Kong has been named the Big Ten Women's Golfer of the Week, announced by the league Wednesday.
The West Vancouver, British Columbia native earns the first weekly plaudit of her career. She led Indiana in a rain-shortened Ladies Fall Intercollegiate Classic at the AAC Highlands Course on Friday and Saturday with a 36-hole score of 147 (73, 74) to finish tied for third overall. Her efforts guided IU to a fifth-place finish overall in the final fall tournament of the season.
She registered 30 holes at par, highlighted by a trio of birdies. It marked the first top five finish for Kong this season and third overall for her career. The weekly honor is the first for the Hoosiers since Camille Chevalier in the spring of 2016.
