Postgame Notes
• Indiana is the only program in the country to have faced three top-five opponents and is the second team (West Virginia) to meet five-ranked foes this season.
• The Hoosiers have taken on three top-five opponents for the second time (1961) in school history.
• This marks the second-straight year, and the 11th time in program history, that IU has met five ranked opponents.
• Indiana faced its 15th top-20 foe in the team's last 31 games – the most in the Big Ten.
• Senior linebacker Tegray Scales notched his seventh career interception and his first of the season. His last pick was at FIU in the first game of the 2016 season.
• The interception was the Hoosiers seventh takeaway of the year and third INT of the season. The IU offense scored on the ensuing drive to give them 38 points off of takeaways this year.
• Scales recorded his 17th career sack, tying him with Joe Huff for the sixth-most in program history.
• For the 13th time in his career, Scales had 10-or-more tackles. Scales finished with 12 (7 solo), one sack and 2.5 tackles for loss.
• Fifth-year senior safety Chase Dutra set a career-high with 15 tackles, including 12 solo. Dutra recorded 10-or-more stops for the third time in four weeks and for the fifth time in his career.
• Senior defensive end Robert McCray III recorded two sacks in the game, giving him his 4.5 sacks on the season and seven for his career. This is McCray's first multi-sack game of his career. McCray finished with four tackles and one forced fumble.
• Senior linebacker Chris Covington finished with nine tackles, his second-highest total of the season, with a half-TFL and one quarterback hurry.
• Sophomore defensive end Allen Stallings IV forced his first career fumble.
• Fifth-year senior quarterback Richard Lagow threw for 226 yards and two touchdowns, his ninth multi-TD game of his career. Lagow is now tied with Dave Schnell for the eighth-most passing scores in program history with 27.
• With his 226 passing yards, Lagow extended his career passing yardage to 4,400 yards, ranking him eighth all-time in career passing yardage.
• Lagow completed 20 passes, giving him 340 in his career – the ninth-most in program history.
• Redshirt junior Simmie Cobbs Jr. caught his 10th career touchdown pass and his sixth of the season.
• Redshirt junior Luke Timain (64 yards) and true freshman Whop Philyor (55 yards) each made five receptions.
• Redshirt sophomore Devonte Williams caught his second career touchdown pass and second of the season.
• Fifth-year senior Griffin Oakes connected on his seventh straight field goal, giving him the ninth-longest streak in program history. This is the third time Oakes has been in the top-10 for most FGs in a row, joining Mitch Ewald as the only Hoosier to be on the list 3-plus times.
• Oakes' 65 career fields goal moves him into a tie for seventh for the most career field goals made by a Big Ten kicker.
• With a field goal and two extra points, Oakes remains in second for the most points in program history with 331.
• Redshirt junior offensive lineman Wes Martin (9th-time this season), senior linebacker Tegray Scales (9th), fifth-year senior quarterback Richard Lagow (9th) and senior defensive end Greg Gooch (9th) served as today's game captains.
• Redshirt sophomore Chris Gajcak (wide receiver) and redshirt junior Zeke Walker (linebacker) made their first career starts.
• Wisconsin won the opening coin toss and deferred. The Hoosiers are 5-for-9 in coin tosses this season.
