IU Opens Spring Schedule in 7v7 Tournament

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Indiana Women's Soccer kicked off its spring slate on Sunday as the Hoosiers participated in a 7v7 tournament at the University of Illinois.

The event featured a split squad as IU competed in two separate brackets. The contests consisted of two 20-minute halves set up on a 55 x 40 yard field.

Maya Piper led both teams in scoring, netting seven total goals. Sydney Kilgore and Abby Allen each tallied five in the tournament.

The Indiana White team went 4-0-1 in the event, winning the championship with a 2-1 victory against the Illinois Alumni.
