BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Assistant Athletic Trainer Corey Hojnicki is in his third year with the IU volleyball program and 13th year as a collegiate athletic trainer.
Hojnicki joined the sports medicine staff at Indiana University in July of 2014.
Prior to IU, Hojnicki worked at the University of Portland in Portland, Ore., with the volleyball, baseball, women's basketball and rowing teams from 2009-14.
"Corey has added a lot to our program over the past few years," IU head coach Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan said. "As a staff, we get along with him very well and he has a great rapport with our student-athletes as well. His job is the safety of our athletes, but also to help them reach their highest potential by keeping them on the floor. At times, he walks a fine line and does a great job understanding and working with our staff and students."

Prior to the University of Portland Hojnicki spent 2007-09 in his hometown as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Toledo, working with football and men's tennis and 2005-07 as a certified intern at Northwestern, where he worked with football, baseball, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's swimming and diving.
Hojnicki earned an undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Eastern Michigan in 2003 and continued his education at the University of Texas at Austin with a graduate degree in Kinesiology.
While at Texas, Hojnicki was a graduate assistant athletic trainer and worked with the football and men's tennis teams.
Hojnicki and his wife Caryn reside in Bloomington with their kids Brennan (5) and Hadleigh (2).
