BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Athletic Performance Coach Chris Virtue is in his 10th year at Indiana.
Virtue is responsible for the design and implementation of sport-specific strength, conditioning, flexibility, speed and agility protocols for volleyball and field hockey as well as Applied Sports Science Performance and Technology for all of Indiana's 24 varsity programs.
Virtue earned a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from IU in May of 2006 and a master's degree in Kinesiology in May of 2009.
"Chris is the best in the business," IU head coach Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan said. "He has worked alongside our program for most of my time at Indiana and I'm more impressed with him every year. The workouts never go stale and he's always trying to find ways to push our players both mentally and physically to find success in the toughest conference in the country. He has a great rapport with our student-athletes and has earned their respect which allows him to get the most out of his workouts. He's a big part of our program and I couldn't be happier with his attention to detail in helping our players develop."
In addition to his work with volleyball, Virtue worked with Indiana Football from 2007-10 and has also assisted with the men's basketball program.
Virtue is married to Crista and the couple has a daughter, Penelope, born April 22, 2016.
