BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana volleyball team will have a busy day on Saturday as they travel to Indianapolis for the 10th annual Indy Collegiate Invitational at the Academy Volleyball Club (6635 East 30th Street).
The Hoosiers will play four matches on the day, against Pittsburgh, IUPUI, Ohio and Southern Illinois.
The format for the matches will be two sets to 25 (not best of three) win by two.
Admission the event is $5 for adults, $2 Students and 12 and under are free.
In their first spring match, last week the Hoosiers beat Indiana State, 25-23, 25-17, 15-6.
IU head coach Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan said she was pleased with how the team played and especially their body language.
"We have only been in team practice for two weeks, so you are not going to see perfect volleyball," IU head coach Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan said after the match. "What I liked was we have really been working on our body language and communication in practice and I was happy that we were able to transfer that into competition mode. I think it gave their teammates confidence and it kept things on an even keel instead of getting chaotic."
Following the Indy Collegiate Invitational, the Hoosiers last spring competition will be April 22 at the Purdue Spring Invitational.
