Harper Finishes Third As Indiana Women’s Golf Completes Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sophomore Erin Harper completed the weekend with a 4-over performance to finish third overall as Indiana wrapped up play at the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational on Sunday afternoon at Scarlet Course.
Harper shot a 79 in the final round, collecting a 220 and finished two strokes behind second place Sarah Burnham of Michigan State and seven behind winner Sophia Schubert of Texas. It marks the second-straight weekend Harper finished in the top ten and first finish in the top five this season.
Coming in behind Harper for Indiana was senior Ana Sanjuan who shot an 80 in the final round to score a 232 to finish in a tie for 27th overall. Redshirt freshman Carolina Garett finished tied for 49th overall (241) while junior Alix Kong carded a 242 in 58th place.
Completing IU's six field lineup this weekend were senior Theresa-Ann Jedra (T61st, 245) and freshman Emma Fisher (T66, 247).
As a team, the Hoosiers finished in eighth place overall behind winner Michigan State, Texas, Kent State, Ohio State and Illinois which rounded out the top five. Indiana shot 322 on the final day of the tournament for a three-round score of 930.
Up next for the Hoosiers will be the Big Ten Tournament April 21-23 at TPC Rivers Bend
