Hoosiers Fall at No. 5 Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Indiana women's team started their road trip with a 7-0 defeat against No. 5 Ohio State on Friday at the Varsity Tennis Courts in Columbus.

Ohio State won doubles matches on courts two and three to start the match. Madison Appel and Kim Schmider were down 3-4 when their match was stopped.

In singles, senior Paula Gutierrez playing No. 59 Anna Sanford, dropped the first set 6-1, but came back to win set two, 6-3. Gutierrez then fell 6-3 in the final set of the match.

Up next the Hoosiers continue their road trip at Penn State on Sunday in their final regular season match.
