Brown in Fourth After 36 Holes at Big Ten Championship

BALTIMORE, Maryland – The second round of the Big Ten Men's Golf Championship is in the books and Indiana is tied for ninth place with a 36-hole score of 586 (291-295). The tournament is being played at the Baltimore Country Club, where the final round will get underway at 8:40 a.m. on Sunday.
Redshirt sophomore Jake Brown opened with an Even par round (70) on Friday and followed it with a 1-under 69 on Saturday. His total score of 139 puts him in fourth place and is one of just four golfers to complete the first 36 holes under par.
Brown played his first 10 holes in 3-under par with three birdies and seven pars. He continued with five straight pars after a birdie on his 10th hole but closed with bogeys on his 16th and 17th holes to close at 1-under par for the round.
Freshman Brock Ochsenreiter also carded three birdies in his second round, but battled some issues down the stretch to post a score of 5-over par 75. His score of 148 puts him at 8-over par and a tie for 40th after the second round.
Another redshirt sophomore, Jack Sparrow, is tied for 49th with a total score of 150 after recording his second consecutive round of 5-over par 75.
Senior Andrew Havill logged a 78 in round two and is tied for 55th with an overall score of 151.
Junior Christian Fairbanks is tied for 60th with a score of 153 over the first two rounds after posting a score of 76 in his second round.
The Hoosiers will tee off of No. 10 on Sunday starting at 8:40 a.m. with live scoring available at Golfstat.com.
