BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Women's Basketball head coach Teri Moren has been selected as one of the inaugural members of the Seymour High School Athletic Hall of Fame class.
"I am truly honored and grateful to receive this honor from the people of Seymour High School, a place I have so many special memories," Moren said. "I would like to offer my congratulations to all the other inductees and continue to be a proud Owl alum."
Moren, who graduated from Seymour High School in 1987, is among 15 members who was selected as part of the first-ever hall of fame class. A committee chose the inductees after a public nomination period that began last August. In order to be eligible for the hall of fame, an athlete or team must have completed high school at least 20 years ago. A coach or contributor must also have at least 10 years of service to Seymour High School.
In high school, Moren helped her teams to four sectional titles, two regional championships, a semi-state win and a 1987 state finals appearance. She was selected as an Indiana All-Star in her senior season and also inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame on April 26, 2014.
The induction ceremony will take place on Dec. 16 before Seymour's boys basketball varsity game.
