Day One Results

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho –One of the lowest rounds in IU Women's Golf history paved the way as it sits in fourth place after day one of the Coeur D'Alene Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.

The Hoosiers combined to tie for the third-lowest round in school history in the second round with a 283. They carded a first round score of 288 and went 3-over for the day (571) and sit two strokes behind third place BYU (569) and 12 strokes out of second-place Illinois (559).

Playing in her first two rounds for Indiana, freshman Priscilla Schmid paced the team coming in T-18^th with a pair of 1-under rounds (142). Schmid tallied six birdies in the opening 36 holes of the tournament. Freshman Mary Parsons finished the day one stroke behind Schmid, turning in a 73 and 2-under 70 (143) to sit T-23^rd.

Sophomore Elisa Pierre, freshman Angela Aung and Fisher are all in a tie for 34^th overall with a 146. Fisher shaved off six strokes in the second round to tie her career-low that she set last weekend at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic. Her efforts were completed with an eagle on hole 11, just five holes into the second round where she also completed four birdies.

The third and final round of the tournament gets underway at 11 a.m. ET with a shotgun start.
