Receveur Named Big Ten Cross Country Women’s Athlete Of The Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – All-American redshirt junior Katherine Receveur was named the Big Ten Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, announced by the league on Wednesday.
The Louisville, Ky. native made her debut for the 2017 season at the Battle of Beantown on Friday, where she finished second overall in the women's 5K with a time of 17:03. Her efforts also led Indiana to a tied for second place finish overall and elevated the program to its highest ever ranking in the USTFCCCA polls, as IU is now ranked No. 14 in the country.
Last season, Receveur was named All-American after her 11th place finish at the NCAA Championships and First-Team All-Big Ten selection after a runner-up finish at the Big Ten Championships.
Receveur and the Hoosiers will be back in action this weekend at home hosting the Sam Bell Invitational on Saturday, September 30. The women's 6K begins at 10 a.m. with the men's 8K race following at 11 a.m.
