IU Winter Invitational Day One Results

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team got back to action as they concluded the first day of the IU Winter Invitational.
The Hoosiers went a combined 9-3 in singles and doubles for day one of the tournament.
The team started off strong as they won all four of their doubles matches. Natalie Whalen and Xiwei Cai won 6-3, Madison Appel and Michelle McKamey 6-1, Caitlin Bernard and Jelly Bozovic 6-2 and Pauline Jahren and Emma Love 7-5.
In the Hoosiers Flight of singles Bozovic took a 7-6, 6-3 victory and McKamey won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. In the Indiana Flight Appel and Bernard each picked up victories, 7-5, 6-3 and 2-6, 6-4, 10-5.
In the Crimson Flight Jahren came through with a 7-5, 6-0 victory.
The tournament continues tomorrow with doubles play beginning at 9:00 a.m. ET at the IU Tennis Center.
