Indiana Ends Fall Play with DH Sweep Against John A. Logan College

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Softball closed out its fall slate with a doubleheader sweep of John A. Logan College on Friday evening at Andy Mohr Field.
In game one, the Hoosiers jumped out to a 6-0 fourth-inning lead before ending the game with a 10-2 victory. Sophomore Taylor Lambert went 2-for-3 with three runs and a walk, while junior Katie Lacefield also collected a pair of hits, two RBI and scored a run. Junior Bella Norton knocked a triple in the win, while freshman Juvia Davis had a solo home run in the sixth. Freshman Taylor Askland and senior Tara Trainer split time in the circle, with Askland earning the victory.
The finale saw Indiana shut out John A. Logan College, 8-0, with Lambert again leading the IU bats with a pair of hits, a run and an RBI. Davis went for extra bases again as she tripled, while also adding two runs. Freshman Natalie Foor earned the victory, as she tossed 4.0 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit.
