Indiana’s Gutman Earns Big Ten, National Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University men's soccer's Andrew Gutman earned Big Ten and national honors this week after a tremendous performance in the team's 2-1 win over Maryland last Friday.
Gutman was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season and was also named to Top Drawer Soccer's and College Soccer News' National Teams of the Week.
Against Maryland last Friday, Gutman scored both the team's goals in a 2-1 win over the Terrapins. The senior scored the first goal of the match in the 32nd minute and then netted the match-winner with just 18 seconds left for the Hoosiers.
On the season, Gutman leads the team with eight goals. The Hinsdale, Ill. native has also notched four assists on the campaign.
The No. 2-ranked Hoosiers will host in-state rival Butler on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 8:00 p.m. ET at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium. The match will be broadcast live nationally on the Big Ten Network.
