On adjusting for a Friday night game...
"It's been a different week for sure. You basically just cut a whole day out and compress everything. The feel of it has been very similar. We modified the workload along the way, but the focus has been there and the staff has worked extremely hard to get ourselves ready. The turnaround was what really was the difference. You lost that whole day of a normal Sunday. Had a full practice on Monday morning, so we were ready for that, got the guys squared away. Met with them on Sunday, which we usually don't do and that gave us a chance to address the game from Penn State and be able to learn from it, flush that one. We did a lot of great things, but made some key mistakes, getting those cleaned up, getting those fixed and get ready for Minnesota."
On what stands out about Minnesota's offense...
"They run the ball really well. Big offensive line. Hard, tough, running backs. Good receivers, too. They have a couple of guys who catch a ton of balls. Just go get the ball and make a lot of extension catches when they win those one-on-ones in those competitive situations. I see a lot of that and I see them getting better every single week on that side of the football. Our defense is going to be stressed and challenged for sure, but (it's) a Big Ten road game, so they are always big."
On balancing the run game and pass game…
"It's very important. There's never a number that you set. It's about them having to defend it and understanding they can't make calls that are one-sided. Can't play one-sided and they have to honor both and distribute the ball to a lot of different guys. To me, it's part of that balance in the pass game and run game as well. All those things go into it but obviously when you have a running back and an offense that can run the football, it makes a big difference."
On supporting LB Reakwon Jones…
"It's been a great tribute to our fan base and Hoosier Nation taking care of one of their own. It's a tragedy for sure. Great to get his family up here. They're physically safe, which is the most important thing, but they lost everything, have to start over again and we want to do everything we can to help them. I encourage everyone to give what they can and we are going to do the same thing individually. He's a first-class, young man. He cares about the guys around him. He loves this university and Indiana Football."
