Following a three-hour weather delay before play began on Friday, the Indiana women's golf team battled the cool temps and drizzle throughout the day to post a team score of 303 (+15), which was good for a tie for fifth place in the 11-team field.

CHIP-INS
• Senior Erin Harper posted the round of the day after starting her round with a double bogey on her first hole. She played the final 17 holes in 1-under par on her way to a 73 and a tie for eighth place individually.

• After the opening double bogey on the 10th, Harper rattled off six straight pars before rolling in a birdie on the par 3 17^th hole. She made the turn at 1-over par and then birdied the fourth and sixth holes to get back to even before a bogey on her final hole leaving her at 1-over par for the round.

• Harper leads the field in par 3 scoring, playing the four par 3's in 2-under par on the first day.

• Freshman Alexis Miestowski carded four birdies in her first round, including a birdie on the par 5 12^th hole, her final hole of the day. She is tied for 17^th at 3-over par heading into the second round.

• Miestowski played the par 5's in 3-under par on Friday, the best total in the field.

• Sophomore Angela Aung gives the Hoosiers a trio in the Top 25 after her 76 in the opening round put her in a tie for 24^th.

• Sophomore Mary Parsons is tied for 48^th at 7-over par after her 79 in round one.

• Redshirt senior Kari Bellville got off to a difficult start on her first nine holes, making the turn in 8-over par. But she played the final nine holes in just one over par on her way to an 81 and a tie for 54^th.

• Sophomore Priscilla Schmid, competing as an individual, is also tied for 54th after her opening round 81
