Eleven Named NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Indiana Softball saw 11 student-athletes named 2017-18 Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar-Athletes, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Karly Combs, Makayla Ferrari, Sarah Galovich, Sydney Hester, Gabbi Jenkins, Emily Kirk, Carolyn Kuhn, Katie Lacefield, Aimilia McDonough, Tara Trainer and Taylor Uden all earned the honor, which is given to those who posted at least a 3.50 GPA for the 2017-18 school year.
Galovich, Hester, Jenkins, Kirk, Lacefield, McDonough, Trainer and Uden all also earned Academic All-Big Ten honors back in May.
As a team, Indiana was recognized by the NFCA for posting a top-60 GPA nationally, one of just three Big Ten squads to do so.
