Indiana to Host 2019 Big Ten Softball Tournament

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Softball and Andy Mohr Field will play host to the 2019 Big Ten Softball Tournament, which runs May 9-11.
It marks the first time the Hoosiers have hosted the annual conference tournament, which features the top 12 teams in the conference for single-elimination play.
"We are excited to host the Big Ten Tournament," said head coach Shonda Stanton. "It is always an outstanding weekend for one of the most competitive conferences in the country. Our players, coaches and staff are looking forward to showcasing our wonderful facility in Andy Mohr Field on a national stage."
Play in the tournament begins on Thursday with four games scheduled, Friday will also feature four games. Competition will conclude on Saturday with the two semi-final games followed by the championship game.
The Hoosiers are looking to build upon a 2018 campaign that saw them finish third in the Big Ten and advance to the conference tournament semifinals.
The complete 2019 Indiana Softball schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
